HISTORY:
Irvine & Jachens was a San Francisco-based company, founded in 1886 by J.C. Irvine and a partner named Jachens, known for making brass and silver conchos, badges, and later, buckles. The company was originally J.C. Irvine Co. and became Irvine & Jachens in 1926. The business was sold in the 1920s to Christian Stegman, whose sons later split the company, with one son, Howard, renaming his part Comstock Silversmiths.
