This statement-making Old Pawn vintage belt by renowned Navajo artisan Roger Skeet, Jr. is a leather strap adorned with seven classic sterling silver scallop conchos adorned with turquoise cabochons, alternated by eight butterfly concho spacers and finished with complementing double-mustache concho frame buckle adorned with six turquoise cabochons. Timeless, classic, a southwestern style staple – this concho belt is a collector.
Roger Skeet Jr (b. 1932 -; Navajo) traditional styles; stamp work; chisel’ repoussé; set stones concho belts, bracelets, necklaces. Son of Roger Skeet Sr. (1900 - 1959), a smith for C. G. Wallace, and brother of Anderson Skeets.

Mark Bahti’s book, Silver + Stone - Profiles of American Indian Jewelers, Skeet, states, "I would like to have gone to school and served my people on the tribal council." However, as the oldest of eight children, his father chose him at the age of eight, to stay at home and learn the silversmithing trade.
